Scene Two Work Up





During my reading week, I spent so much time downloading meshes to incorporate for a scene I had in mind for my Demo Reel. But my break was not only used towards that, I spent almost the entire week U.V. mapping my scene to near perfection, and no, it's not perfect, but it will do. So here is scene two. Again, the first picture at the top is the closest to what I am going for. It looks like a miniature room... it's kinda cute.

Scene 1 Trials and Successes




Hey guys! Here are some trials and successes that I've gone through the past weekend just trying to perfect this one scene. The very first image on the top is what I will be going for, but I will add some soft tinting to it in compositing. Ciao for now.

Basic Colours and Shaders

Hi everybody. Here is my currently update for my Demo Reel. Feedback is much appreciated, and look forward to seeing more next week. This week was all about adding colours and shaders, and U.V. mapping. U.V. mapping is something I take very seriously, and I spent a long time working on it as well. Next week, I will be working on textures and finalizing the timing of the shots. These are just playblasts. I'm afraid that if I fully render them that they would take forever. Although I will most likely start a proper render for next week, meaning that my weekly updated video would only be of specific shots.

Basic Lights and Composition



Hello everyone, while I go through the last few weeks of being in school working on my demo reel, I'd also like to show you guys what I'm working on and going through in as much depth as I can. For this week, I'm setting up the basic mood for my scenes.

Now that I look at it again, the top image might be too dark, I'll have to fix that. Everything in the bottom image is completely mine, from the currently straight flowers, to the houses and the light bulb trees. I don't mind hard surface modelling, but character modelling with Maya is a bit more annoying. I might start dabbling in zBrush one day, but for now, Demo Reel first.
