Character Design

For character design, we had to create characters in the style of Stephen Silver's Kim Possible. I had a hard time with the style at first, but eventually started liking it a lot. Silver's flow impressed me, and I started doing some life drawings in his style as well. It is a good exercise.

Tonal Life Drawings

Here are this week's life drawings. This week, I was rather uninspired to draw, but I needed to do life drawing for practice. So as practice, I used tonal studies to keep be somewhat inspired.

Life Drawings and Cafe Sketches

Here are some caricatures, cafe drawings, and extra life done from this week. I have a lot more to add actually, but I feel that these are my better drawings. I shall showcase more for next week.

Caricatures, Cartoons, and Some Extra Life

This week, I have been having more fun with colours and caricatures. I also went to Body Worlds the other day, but I shall post those pictures up tomorrow.

We shall start off with some pretty girl drawings. I did these in about an hour. I got tired of working on homework, so I decided to do some fun stuff.

For life drawings, I started playing around more with my nupastels, which I found were quite soft, which helped me warm up. I like to press hard when I do 30 second gestures, as a warm up at first. Sometimes, I use the nupastels as under drawings for longer poses.

Finally, here are some caricatures I did, again for fun. I find it relaxing doing caricatures, and it does help with character harvesting.

Life Drawing 2 Week 1

Hi everyone. For my new post, I would like to start off with my life drawings. I will try to update on a weekly basis.

To start off, here are some "In Class" drawings from Life Drawing class:

Here are some extra life drawings I do for practice:

As part of muscle studies, I needed to add muscles to the life drawings. Here are my attempts to add torso muscles to the drawings. If I have made any sort of mistake in adding the muscles, please inform me. I would love to know the proper placements of the muscles in the torso.

Last but not the least, I have cafe drawings that I need to do on a daily basis. I do them for fun, and as a warm up. I want to explore more mediums as well with cafe drawings. For now, I'm trying to learn caricaturing because I have found it fun.

Thank you for checking out my art work! Look forward to seeing more.
